I had purchased a new to me used vehicle from Barrhaven Toyota in January 2026. Recently I brought my car in because i was under the impression I needed new tires. I also wanted to install roof rack and box. When bringing the car in, I heard a small noise coming from the front end and had the dealership look into it. The noise ended up being something that needed to be fixed sooner and was mostly covered under extended warranty (note this is a third party warranty). The tires on my current summer rims were fine and ended up not needing to be replaced. I want to acknowledge the tremendous service that I received from my service advisor, Christina Ridout. There is no doubt that she performed above and beyond what was necessary. Taking into account that so many garages and service departments get a bad reputation for being dishonest. Christina could have easily gone ahead and installed new tires she did not. She and the service tech used common sense and checked the tire tread wear depth. In the end this saved me a few thousand dollars. The noise ended up being a strut that needed replacement and was covered under warranty. Again common sense suggested that the tech check the other side and sure enough that side was wearing out. Seriously, Christina’s due diligence saved me a lot of time and money. I have not taken my car to a dealership for service for a very long time. This experience puts faith back in the dealer servicing my car and I will be bringing my car back to ...
