Biggest Upgrades from the Previous Year
There are some key changes from the 2022 RAV4 hybrid models, the most significant of which is the new trim package on the XLE AWD. The Woodland version is also available to deliver improved off-road performance. All models also come equipped with Toyota’s infotainment interface, a next-generation system that seamlessly integrates with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Power and Performance
The 2.5 L DOHC four-cylinder DVVT engine delivers up to 219 hp, 221 lb-ft and ensures you experience a smooth drive. Thanks to the electric on-demand AWD drivetrain, the two electric motors power the vehicle - one focusing on the rear wheels and the other on the engine and front wheels.
All models tow up to 794 kg and have a 542 kg payload, except for the Limited AWD, which has a payload of 511 kg. The system uses an Intelligence VVT-i Hybrid Synergy Drive and uses standard gasoline with a 55 L fuel capacity.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
Heated front seats are standard, with premium cloth seating on the three lower trims and SoftTex seating on the XSE AWD and Limited AWD. However, the XSE has SoftTex-trimmed seating with fabric inserts.
This five-passenger SUV has a six- to eight-power manually adjustable driver’s seat, with a cargo capacity of 1,059 L behind the second-row seating and 1,977 L behind the front seats.
Technology, Infotainment and Connectivity
The LE, XLE, and SE trims have a 7″ colour cluster information display, which upgrades to a 12.3″ display in the XSE and Limited models. All trims have five USB charging ports and a SiriuxXM three-month All-Access trial.
The base model starts with an 8″ infotainment centre, but from the XSE and higher, it features a 10.5″ model. These systems are compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and include Safety Connect.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
The Star Safety System is standard on all models, delivering a safe and comfortable drive. This system includes smart stop technology, anti-lock brakes, vehicle stability control, traction control, brake assist, and electronic brake force distribution.
Also, all trims come with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which includes lane tracing assist, automatic high beams, and lane departure alert with steering assist.
